Introduction

The Call of Duty: Black Ops (T5) servers must have an active server key defined. If they do not, you won’t be able to start your server successfully.

Prerequisites / Disclaimers

In order to complete this procedure you must:

• Have access to Black Ops and Plutonium client

• Have your Black Ops dedicated server turned off

• An active Plutonium account

Purpose

To authenticate your dedicated server to Plutonium’s official master server so that your server can start successfully.

Procedure

1. Stop your server if it is running - Learn more

2. Open a new tab in your web browser and to go: https://platform.plutonium.pw/serverkeys

3. Login using your Plutonium account

4. You may need to re-enter the url from step 2 if it does not redirect you

5. Create a server key from the “My server keys” page

6. Enter your details desired and click “Create” (Make sure you pick T5MP for multiplayer or T5SP for zombies)

7. Hover your mouse over the key inside the Key column to reveal your key

8. Copy it and then return back to the Game Panel

9. Navigate to the Startup Parameters - Learn more

10. Locate the Master Server Key parameter

11. Paste your key into this by replacing the placeholder - Learn more

    1. Tip: Clicking away after entering the key will save it.

12. Start your server

Troubleshooting

My server is not starting and I can’t join it

If your server is showing you this:

It means you have either not provided your master server key, or it may:

• Be incorrect, copy it from https://platform.plutonium.pw/serverkeys again, stop/start your server

• Become banned, you may need to reach out to Plutonium’s team via Discord to get unbanned

• Rapid changes, if you recently used your key on another IP address or host, you need to wait or make a new one
