Installing AdminUI plugin

Introduction

The AdminUI backup system is not supported. Use our own ➡️ Game Panel system!

The AdminUI plugin for Hytale provides an intuitive, interactive GUI system for managing your server. Instead of relying solely on text commands, you can handle server administration through multiple graphical interfaces, improving speed and usability.

Prerequisites / Disclaimers

  • A running Hytale server

  • Access to the Game Panel

  • Permission to install mods via the Mod Manager

  • Basic familiarity with Hytale commands and server administration

AdminUI simplifies administration, but does not replace standard permissions or server security practices. Ensure all players with access are trusted.

Purpose

AdminUI allows server admins to perform key operations via GUIs, reducing errors and making management more efficient. It includes interfaces for managing players, server settings, backups, and live stats.

Procedure

1. Install the AdminUI Plugin

  1. Open your Game Panel

  2. Stop your server

  3. Navigate to:

    Left Sidebar → Tools → Mod Manager

  4. Locate AdminUI

  5. Click Install

    You can install mods by clicking the install button and waiting 3-5 seconds to complete

The plugin JAR will be installed automatically to:

/home/container/mods/adminui-<version>.jar

2. Verify Installation

  1. Start the server after installation

  2. Observe the console and ensure successful startup

  3. Confirm the JAR exists in:

/home/container/mods/

3. Using AdminUI

Open the GUI

You must be an OP to use this feature.

  • Main interface: /admin

  • Admin Stick: Right-click the configurable Admin Stick to open shortcuts

4. Admin Stick Configuration

  • The Admin Stick allows each player to have custom shortcuts for GUIs

  • Configuration is player-specific, so each admin can set up their own preferred workflow

  • Assign a GUI to an action by editing the Admin Stick settings in-game

5. Apply Changes

  1. Test the GUI and Admin Stick to verify functionality
