How to upload Minecraft modpacks manually
Overview
This guide shows how to download server compatible mod packs from modded clients. This includes CurseForge, VoidLauncher, Technic or custom* mod packs.
Note: Custom mod packs will have varied success, for a smoother installation experience we highly recommend hosting a mod pack that offers pre-configured server files.
Our Game Panel includes a modpack manager; we strongly recommend you check that the modpack is available there before following this guide as it is the easiest method to load modpacks. - Click here
Most mod packs can be installed on a computer and played, not all of these can be directly uploaded to your server and work.
In order to successfully upload a mod pack, we need to download a separate server pack that will be included. These server packs do not include the client mods that might crash the server.
CurseForge
Step 1 - Navigate to the CurseForge Modpacks page, choose the modpack you would like to host.

We will use RLCraft from Curseforge as an example, not all modpacks will have a server pack
Step 2 - Once you've opened the modpacks page, click on the "Files" tab, select a version you would like to download and click "Additional Files"

Step 3 - Take note of the where the server pack downloads to, as you will need to upload the files later in this guide.
Skip to the "Uploading the server pack" part of the guide once you have downloaded the files successfully
VoidLauncher
Step 1 - Navigate to the Modpack page for VoidLauncher and choose the modpack you would like to host.

Step 2 - Scroll down and click on the "Download the server pack" button

Step 3 - Take note of the where the server pack downloads to, as you will need to upload the files later in this guide
Skip to the "Uploading the server pack" part of the guide once you have downloaded the files successfully
Technic
Step 1 - Navigate to the Technic websites' modpack page and search for your desired modpack

Step 2 - Look on the right-hand side of the page for a "Server download" button and download the server pack

Step 3 - Take note of the where the server pack downloads to, as you will need to upload the files later in this guide
Skip to the "Uploading the server pack" part of the guide once you have downloaded the files successfully
Custom Modpack / No Server pack
Some modpacks may not have a download for "Server pack" or "Server configuration".
Every launcher is different with how it manages files and where the mod packs files are stored. If you are unsure, google your launchers name and install location.
For example, "Modrinth mod pack install location".
Step 1 - Locate your modpacks installation directory
Step 2 - Select the "mods" and "config" folder, and any other folders needed for the server

Hold left control on your keyboard and left click the folders you wish to select to select multiple folders
Step 3 - Add the selected folders to a zip using a program like 7zip
Step 4 - Take note of where this zip file is located and proceed to the next step
Server Configuration
Now that you have downloaded your mods server pack, you will need to configure your server to run the appropriate version.
Navigate to the modpacks page that you downloaded it from, it will mention the version and mod loader required. Look at the image below for our RLCraft example.

Step 1 - Log into the Delta Networks Game Panel and select the server you wish to work on
Step 2 - Stop the server if it is running
If the only clickable option is "start" the server has successfully stopped / is already stopped

Step 3 - On the left side of the game panel page, click "Configuration" > "Advanced"

Step 4 - Utilize the "Install Different edition" panel on the Advanced page to configure your server to run the version of MC and the mod loader that the mod page lists and format the server.
Please note: Formatting the server will remove any previous files on the server and install the selected config from scratch. You will lose all files that are not saved or backed up.

Uploading the server pack
Any files larger than 1GB will not be allowed over File Manager, we recommend you use SFTP instead.
There are two main methods for uploading mods:
- SFTP or File Manager.
We recommend the File Manager for those unfamiliar with SFTP however will cover both in this guide.
Uploading with File Manager
Step 1 - Navigate to the File Manager on the left side of the Game Panel

Step 2 - In the top right corner of the file manager, Click the three dots drop down menu and click "Upload" and select the server pack you downloaded previously
If you cannot locate the downloaded server pack, it is likely in your download folder if not, download it again and take note of the install path

If the zip file doesn't upload, we recommend uploading with FTP as the next section of this guide showcases
Step 3 - Unzip the uploaded server pack, check the box on the left of the server pack zip, click the corresponding three dots on the right and click "Decompress"

Skip the following "Uploading with SFTP" guide if you have uploaded the zip with our File Manager
Uploading with SFTP
Step 1 - Connect a client to the Game Panel's SFTP following this guide
Step 2 - Upload the server pack from your computer to the File Manager over SFTP as the picture below depicts

Step 3 - Unzip the uploaded server pack
The unzip process in SFTP can take a large amount of time depending on your internet connection, we recommend the Decompress feature in our game panels File Manager,
Step 4 - (Optional) - Unzip with Game Panel
Navigate to the File Manager on the left side of the Game Panel
Unzip the uploaded server pack, check the box on the left of the server pack zip, click the corresponding three dots on the right and click "Decompress"

Final Touches
Some mod packs will require addition configuration which may include the following:
Level Type
Server properties
Structure generation
Mod specific configuration (In config and mods folder in root directory) i.e. "/structures/, /schematics/"
Common Issues
The server crashes when starting it:
The modpack you have uploaded may include client-side mods or mods incompatible with the mod loader you have configured the server with.
If your server requires paper and you have installed Fabric, this will cause the server to crash.
If you have uploaded client sided mods this will cause the server to crash.
Modpack intensity: your modpack might require more resource allocation, we recommend when hosting mod packs to use the Minecraft offerings that list "Recommended for modded"
The server starts but no mods are present:
This may occur if the mods and configs folders that are required by unzipping the server pack are uploaded the wrong folder or named incorrectly:
Ensure that when you click "File Manager" you see a folder called "mods" and a folder called "config"
Some server packs might require additional files such as "resourcepacks" "scripts" "structures" ensure that these are added when unzipping/decompressing the server pack
