Purpose
This guide advises the current stance of crossplay and also how to configure to restrict certain platforms as needed.
How to enable crossplay
Great news! Palworld supports crossplay by default now! 🎉
Crossplay is supported out of the box but there’s one step you need to perform if you wish to join on your console from the game browser (not using direct connect).
Console editions of the game do not support direct IP connection, therefore we need to toggle a setting to allow server browser based joining without issues.
Setting your public IP in order to join your server
Navigate to the > Configuration > Startup Parameters page using the left-sidebar
Scroll down the page until you find the
Public IP
parameterNow click the dropdown box and update the Public IP by matching it with the one you have been allocated.
Once you click an option from the dropdown that matches, click on an empty space to save the changes.
Go ahead and start your server, notice the new
PublicIP with value
.Open Palworld and join your game from the server browser! ⭐
If you can’t find your server we recommend naming your server something unique so you can search for it from the menu.
How to restrict certain platforms (or turn off crossplay)
Open up our Game Panel.
Click on
File Manager
Using ‘Quick Access’ click on
PalWorldSettings.ini
Remove the platform you do not wish to have published / supported. I.e. the GIF below shows restricting to PC only.
End
