Introduction

This guide explains how to properly update your Stationeers server when a new version is released.

Prerequisites / Disclaimers

• Access to your server control panel.

• The server must be stopped before switching images.

• Do not leave the server on the Steam image after updating.

Purpose

Switching to the Steam image allows the server to download updates. Switching back to the Game image ensures normal operation.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the Console tab.

2. Click Stop to power down the server.

3. Navigate to Server Options.
   
   

   
   
   

   
   

4. Locate the Image setting.

   
   

   
   
   

   
   

5. Change the image from:

   Game (Starts the Dedicated Server) → Steam (Runs the Updater)

6. Return to the Console tab.

7. Click Start.

   Allow the update process to complete.

8. Once finished, click Stop.

9. Navigate back to Server Options.

10. Change the image from:

    Steam (Runs the Updater) → Game (Starts the Dedicated Server)

11. Return to Console and click Start.

Your Stationeers server is now updated and ready to play.

Your server is now running the latest version. Repeat this process whenever an update is released.
