This article will show you how to set the server’s initial map and also how to change maps via the Console.

Prerequisites / Disclaimers

• A Counter-Strike 2 Server

• A copy of Counter-Strike 2 on your computer from Steam

Purpose

To show you how to setup the default map and to change map via Console.

Procedure

Changing the default map

1. Head over to the Game Panel

   1. Game Panel - https://panel.deltanetworks.au/

   2. Open / Manage your server

   3. Stop your server if it is running

   4. Click on Startup Parameters

2. Change the Default Map from de_dust2 to something else you prefer i.e. cs_office

   1. Hint: Click away from the box to save your setting

   2. Tip: Here is a list of the internal map names for your reference - CS2 Maps ↗️
      
      

      
      
      

      
      

3. Now when your server starts, it will always default to this level

Changing map via Console

1. Open the Console from the Game Panel

2. Type in changelevel {level_name}, hit the ENTER key
   
   

   
   
   

   
   

3. Note the server adjust and load the new level
