Connecting to your server

Purpose

This guide will show you how to connect to your Valheim server.

Procedure

1. Start your Valheim server from the game panel.

2. Open your Valheim game from Steam

3. Proceed to start your game and click the Join Game tab from the main menu

4. Click on 'Add Server'

5. Enter the IP address and port i.e. 123.456.789:1234 - You can find your server's IP address at the top-right of the game panel.

6. Click on the IP address to copy to clipboard and then paste into Valheim after clicking 'Add Server'

7. Click on the server and then click Connect.

Note: Your server might not query the player slots and version immediately, this is OK, proceed to click connect anyway.

See the below example, in this case the top server shows the query information and is joinable. The server below has a question mark however it is still joinable.
