Introduction

When you make changes to your server it’s always best to make a backup so you don’t lose any data. Mistakes can and will happen! This prevents the worst from happening.

Purpose

To have a copy of your world for backup purposes.

Procedure

Making a backup of your world

1. Open the Game Panel

2. Stop your server

3. Navigate to the Backups page and create a backup

Downloading the backup of your world

1. Once the backup has completed (try refreshing your page in 1-5mins)

Restoring your save to the server

1. Once you’ve downloaded the backup you can open it and navigate to the saves folder

3. You will want to drag and drop this saves into your File Manager page

4. This will place your saves back into the server. If the saves already existed, it will just create a folder with a numerical digit added to it. So make sure you delete the existing folder first.

5. You have successfully learnt how to backup your world, and if needed, restore your server’s save using your downloaded backup

6. Alternatively you can just deploy your backup from the backup page if you don’t want to use an offline copy
